Amy Chua¡¯s essay in the Wall Street Journal on strict parenting, along with her book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mom, has become the center of a debate over cultural differences and parenting. Some people think she exaggerated Chinese parenting, some think tiger mom cannot represent Chinese parents, and some think Amy Chua distorted Western parenting.
