Recently, the Internet search engine giant Google has announced that it no longer supports China¡¯s Internet censorship policies and threatened to quit Chinese market. This announcement was soon greeted with falling share prices and questions about the soundness of this decision. On one hand, supporters praised Google¡¯s courage in insisting its philosophy and integrity in the business, and denounced the intervention of Chinese government. On the other hand, critics expressed disappointment over the company¡¯s impatience, and disapproved its noncompliance with Chinese laws.
